Why Blue is the New Green

The Environmental Impact of ebeam Technology

Do you care about environmental issues? Are you concerned about climate change? Do you worry about the health of future generations? Would you prefer to keep plastic out of our oceans, chemicals out of our food and water, and dangerous toxicity out of our industrial supply chains?

What Keeps Me Up at Night

1. What was the biggest accomplishment for the ebeam team in 2014?

There were two important achievements in 2014. First, we were able to secure three big customers in different market segments, which was a signifcant accomplishment for us. For some time, Tetra Pak, the global food packaging leader, was our biggest customer. No longer. We are gaining important new customers of a similar size. The second achievement was that we were able to develop and build up our ebeam brand, and roll out our communications and messaging strategy. This was a signficant challenge as we had to develop a communication concept that could be understood by all stakeholders about a new product and a new technology. And then we had to introduce it to the market.

ebeam Technology and the Start of a New Era

What is ebeam as a technology?

ebeam is a radical new technology that uses a focused electron beam to alter materials at a molecular level. The basic technology has been around for decades but the compact form that we have developed is entirely new. Indeed, for the first time we are able to accelerate electrons in a compact form and integrate them effectively for use in an industrial, manufacturing context. Our new ebeam lamp enables entirely new kinds of applications, for example, the creation of new materials, and also allows us to upgrade the efficiency of existing applications, for example, sterilization processes in food packaging. Our ebeam lamps can be integrated into numerous industrial level applications, and ebeam-enabled products use less energy, are environmentally friendly, and are cost effective. That means the technology has great upside and the potential to scale. We are at the start of a new era.

10 Reasons Why ebeam Is Critical to the Future of Manufacturing

1. Lower Costs

ebeam technology makes a difference where it counts—the bottom line. By replacing expensive, labor-intensive processes with newly developed electron beam lamps, ebeam is disrupting traditional manufacturing. Customers are able to reduce both cost and complexity, streamlining manufacturing while increasing automation and efficiency. From food and consumer product packaging to sterilization and curing, ebeam technology is saving some of the biggest manufacturers in the world both time and money.

5 Surprising Facts about ebeam Technology

Fact #1 There is nothing else out there like ebeam technology.

Yes, it’s true. The Comet Group was the first to develop compact ebeam technology. As of 2015, there is nothing like it available anywhere in the world. Sooner or later that will change, as more and more businesses start to realize the potential of compact electron beam technology. However, our would-be competitors are not even out of the starting gate yet. At ebeam, we have a head start, and we are not slowing down for anyone. We intend to innovate and lead. After introducing our first ebeam lamp in 2011, we are continuing to develop new electron beam devices. Soon, we will introduce even more compact models, including a miniature, lightweight, nozzle-shaped ebeam lamp that will allow even more flexibility and targeting precision.
