ebeam Technologies unlocks new applications with the launch of the EBLab 300
Flamatt, Switzerland, May 2, 2019 – ebeam Technologies, the developer and manufacturer of electron beam (ebeam or EB) solutions, launched the EBLab 300
today. This is a product to venture into new applications such as crosslinking, plastic and composite materials.
With more beam power, the EBLab 300 enables material treatments from 80 to 300 keV. The ergonomic and modern design makes it easy to use: A touch screen lets
set the parameters and with a foot pedal and an automated sliding door it allows the hands-free operation.
“We got more and more inquiries from the market to test the effect of electrons in deeper layers of the surface,” reveals Mario Gazzani, Business Development Manager at ebeam Technologies. “We are delighted to enrich our product offering with more testing capabilities and close this market gap”.
Each EBLab 300 features a sealed ebeam Lamp that grant transport speeds of 3 to 30 m/min and in a single pass. Trial samples may be as large as an A4 letter (216 mm ×279 mm) and up to 50 mm thick. With nitrogen inerting, the oxygen concentration can be as low as 50 ppm which empower researchers to work with oxygen-sensitive chemistries.
EBLabs are a key element of ebeam Technologies’ Access ebeam
programme, which aims to make electron beam technology accessible to all. Along with expert teams on hand to aid in the exploration of new industrial applications, the new EBLab 300 is available from August 2019 for tests in the ebeam Atelier based in Flamatt, Switzerland.
